Dr. David Braverman joined the board in 2012. He has a BA from the University of Missouri, and both and MA and Ph.D from the University with major emphasis in Student Development in Postsecondary Education and minors in Higher Education and Counseling. He has worked in a variety of educational institutions and settings, and currently serves as Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students for Springfield College.
Dr. Hsiu-Jung (Mindy) Chang
Mr. Robert Chung is a founder of PVCICS. Mr. Chung is the former Principal of the Amherst Chinese School. Mr. Chung taught elementary school in Taiwan. With a BS and MS in Management and Computer Engineering, he is a software developer at EMC.
Ms. Cherry Hsieh is a founder of PVCICS. Ms. Hsieh is an experienced educator from her years teaching at the Amherst Chinese School and as a doctoral student in the School of Education at UMass/Amherst. She was previously a software engineer at UMass and a 1st to 3rd grade elementary school teacher and English language middle school teacher in Taiwan. She has a MS in Accounting and a BA in English Literature.
Mr. Chung Liu is Chair of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Liu is a founder of PVCICS. He is the Principal of the Springfield Chinese Language School and Secretary of the New England Association of Chinese School. Mr. Liu is the Senior Technical Manager at Massachusetts Municipal Electric Company. He is the Chairperson of the Chicopee Cultural Council and a Commissioner of the Chicopee Sewer Commission.
Dr. May Lo is a founder of PVCICS. Dr. Lo is Professor of Accounting at Western New England College. She holds Ph.D and MS degrees in Accounting. Dr. Lo is the Principal of the Amherst Chinese School.
Mr. Marshall Moriarty joined the Board in 2012. He has a BA from Amherst College and earned post graduate degrees with a MS from American International College and a JD from Western New England University. He has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years and currently is founder and President of Moriarty Law Firm, Inc. in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Dr. David Scott is a partner at Abacus Associates, a public opinion research firm. His work centers on policy issues, with a focus on education. Dr. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ms. Sujing Yang is the Chief Financial Officer of the Capuano Home Health Care, inc,. East Longmeadow, Mass. She oversees the operation of the company that serves the Hampden County communities. Sujing has 2 grown children, both work in Washington, D.C. She was active in the International Baccaleaureate program in Durham, NC where her children had their K-12 education.
