Athletic Program

PVCICS offers the following athletic teams for middle and high school students.  Parents must complete the required forms below for their child to 
participate.  For more information, please contact info@pvcics.org or cflynn@pvcics.org .

For Middle School students (6-8th graders):
  • Middle School co-ed soccer  (Fall)
  • Middle School co-ed cross country (Fall)
  • Middle School boys and girls basketball  (Winter)

2018-2019 Winter Sports Update

Sign-ups are now underway for the Winter Sports season at PVCICS.  

There will be teams for the following sports and levels: HS Boys basketball , HS Girls basketball , MS Boys basketball , MS Girls basketball, Co-ed Ski racing  grades 6-12 and HS wrestling coop with Granby .

 MS/HS Equestrian AEL  ongoing throughout the school year

 The practice  schedules are below. Due to weather cancellations, check the calendars often as dates may be subject to change.  

Interested players will need to download the participation forms found at the bottom of this page.  Those forms along with a $175 user fee must be submitted in order for a player to participate in any team practices or games.

Hazing Act, MA General Laws

Students must comply with the Hazing Act as described in the MA General Laws and complete a form
acknowledging their understanding of the Act. It is available by clicking here.

Opiod Misuse Prevention Information

The 2016 legislation in Massachusetts requires that parents, guardians, and other adults in a middle and high school extracurricular athlete’s life such as School Nurses, Athletic Directors, Coaches and Athletic Trainers, receive educational materials on the dangers of opioid use and misuse.  Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) has developed educational materials on opioid misuse prevention and is partnering with schools across the state to share this  information with students, parents and school personnel. Because of the risk of injury and the subsequent need for pain management, student athletes may be at risk for opioid misuse.

Required Forms for Parents

Parents need to complete the following required forms for their child to participate in athletics:
  • Interscholastic Athletic Agreement Form
  • Parent Medical Consent Form
  • Release from Liability Form
  • Sports Permission and Emergency Contact Form
  • Preparticipation Head Injury Form
  • Student Athlete Social Media Agreement Form
  • Parent Comcussion Sign-Off Form
